Got on freeway car pulling off right side of road, have to hold consistent hold to the left on steering wheel while driving. While driving in city going slow seemed fine. I have had to call regularly to get updates, and have attempted to call Chevrolet's customer assistance center to open an inquiry but am getting the run around of rover a month. My vehicle continues to have braking/idling/spudering issues on occasion, it is not constant. It's now December 4 and they still do not have the replacement control arms & the bolts that go with them (page Chevrolet service dept alexandria, va 22312 70. They ordered a speed-control part and all the recall parts. Again they couldn't "replicate" the issue, but inspected the car with regards to the recall and returned it with no immediate resolution. At this time, I knew about the recall (# a192261870) and brought my car back in on Nov. Late October, I experienced other issues with clicking on my breaking system, with my stabilitrack and check engine lights turning on, but then off when I went in reverse. They did find a tear in some arm on the vehicle, caused by a defective ball bearing which was replaced but unrelated to why it was there. They could not replicate the problem or address it and were not aware of the notice gm had sent out. 2, 2019 (labor day) and I had my car towed from my parking garage to the dealership on sept. I did not know if I would make it home and had to drive with my hazards on. ![]() I experienced idling and jerking when my car was in lower gears, jerking so badly, with running in high rpms. ![]() The first being an evaporaive emissions purge valve that may not fully close, causing the engine to run cold, hesitate or stall at idle speeds. Both notices were received after my 2017 Trax had been taken to the dealership for check-ups/repairs because of presenting symptoms of both issues of the notices/recall. ![]() I've received two notices from gm, once that has an actual recall. I need answer to my problem ASAP or issue me a new car. This problem is becoming a burden on me and affecting my job. As I type this my car is back at chevy service for the same issue its been in there since (10/8/22) and I had to spend more money for a rental. I got the car out the shop in September and took it back a week later for the previous problem and they still cant find what is causing this problem. After spending thousands of dollars on rentals and chevy service department, the issue still remains. I almost been in multiple accidents due to this issue. Once I come to a stop it will not pick up speed its liking I'm just sitting still and when it does start to go its taking a very slow time. The problem its having is the power steering keeps locking up and the engine and power steering lights keeps coming on. It went in the shop in July and I did not pick my vehicle back up til September (2mths). This is an approximate total since GM publishes its date quarterly and not monthly.Īnd next year, of course, the Chevy Trax will make way definitively for Chevrolet’s new Trailblazer.My vehicle has been giving me such a headache! I purchased the Trax in (12/2021) and it has been in the shop for the same issue multiple times. Sales of the model are down by 14% so far this year, to 2,815 units. If a problem is detected, the lower control arm of the suspension will be replaced.Īs for the model, we have to say it represents sad way for the Trax to end its career. GM Canada will contact owners by mail to notify them of the recall, and ask them to bring their vehicle into their dealership to have it inspected. In all, 13,683 2015-2018 Trax models are affected by the new recall. At that time, 8,585 2017-2019 Chevrolet Trax models were called in for a fix. The new recall is a follow-up of an earlier recall first issued in April of this year. A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.” This could cause a loss of steering control. “… a joint in the front lower control arms could break due to poor welds. The notice on the website of Transport Canada explains that on some vehicles, General Motors of Canada has announced it is recalling close to 14,000 Chevrolet Trax models over an issue related to the vehicle’s front suspension. ![]()
